Do your tours include international airfare?
Our tours do not include international airfare, as travelers join us from all over the world, and it is not feasible to incorporate the cost of flights into our tour prices. However, we would be happy to assist you in arranging flights. Simply request an air quote when making your booking, and we’ll provide you with the best options.
What vaccinations are recommended for this adventure?
For the most accurate and up-to-date travel health information regarding the region you will be visiting, we strongly recommend consulting with your family physician or a specialist at a Travel Health clinic. They are the best qualified to provide personalized vaccination advice based on your specific health needs.
Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Visa requirements can vary greatly depending on your nationality and destination. While we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf, we can offer guidance on the necessary steps. You can arrange your visa independently, or alternatively, you may choose to use the services of a travel agent or a visa processing company to assist with the application process.
What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?
We recommend packing as light as possible, but the specific clothing requirements will vary depending on your destination and travel dates. For detailed packing suggestions, please refer to the ‘Trip Details’ document, which includes a recommended packing list. These can be downloaded from the individual trip summary page. The checklist is tailored to each tour and is based on the experience of our ground staff.
What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?
We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc.. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down hotel staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.
What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?
Specific information about transportation can be found on each trip’s summary page. In most cases, we use public transportation, as we believe that how you travel is an integral part of your experience. Public transportation allows for authentic, face-to-face interactions with locals. For some of our adventures, including those in our “Superior” and “Comfort Class” categories, as well as most tours in Africa, we provide private transportation for added comfort and convenience.
Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?
Yes, in most cases, we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels, with the exception of European tours. If we are unable to provide extra nights at the designated hotels, we will provide you with the name of a nearby hotel that you can contact directly. Please note that extra accommodations must be booked at least 30 days prior to departure.
